Please see our Call for Abstracts for the 2008 Student Mentoring Conference in Gerontology & Geriatrics. The conference will be held in Tybee Island, Georgia on March 28-29, 2008.

Our "UGA G-Dawgs" team raised over $2,300 for the Alzhiemer's Association in the recent Memory Walk, held Oct. 20. We had over 20 walkers. Thanks to all who participated or donated!

Our next project is the "Be a Santa to a Senior" program. This year is our third year to participate in this collection of gifts for elders in need. We will also be participating in the gift wrapping party which will be held at the Athens Community Council on Aging on Dec. 12 from 4 to 6 PM. Please take a few minutes this holiday season to donate some gifts to this great cause. Collection boxes will be set up in many campus buildings, or you can drop items off at the Institute.
