Etta Clark Photography

Etta Clark Photography ImageThe University of Georgia Institute of Gerontology would like to thank Etta Clark for providing website photography. Clark began photographing older athletes when she turned forty and started to feel the aches and pains of aging. An avid skier, tennis player, and windsurfer herself, she became fascinated with the vitality of older men and women seemingly unaffected by their years. Clark's photographs are an inspirational reminder that life can get better with age. Her work is an excellent symbol for the field of gerontology, and we are pleased to display it on this site. Clark currently lives in San Anselmo, California and makes a living as a wedding and portrait photographer.

All site photographs can be found in Clark's publications Growing Old is Not For Sissies and Growing Old is Not For Sissies II, collections of black and white photography of older athletes. Clark is currently working on a third edition and always looking for new subjects. For more information on these books and Etta Clark Photography, please visit Clark's homepage or Clark's publisher Pomegranate.
